Euron Greyjoy is terrible (GOT Spoilers Warning)

Game of Thrones episode 804 dropped last night and it has me feeling weird.

For 10 years we have been warned of the looming threat of the White Walkers coming down from the north and killing the living. We were led to believe that all of the political games being played in Westeros were trivial when it came to the looming threat of the Night King and his army. The Night King was truly the end all be all villain of the entire series.

...and then he was killed off in one episode.

Now Cersei Lannister is the main villain. She has truly descended into evil madness. She has always been ruthless but now she's just sadistic. By her side is Euron Greyjoy. He is the uncle of Theon Greyjoy and first appeared on our screens in season 6.

Euron is a poorly written character. Time and time again he sneak attacks people and takes them out with ease. He's dressed like Gerard Way on the Black Parade tour and tries so hard to be the cocky, crazy villain that it just comes off as corny.

The fact that he is even a major player in the plot is a disservice to Game of Thrones fans. In the book Euron is written as a complex and truly conniving and evil character who is actually insane. He's fascinating. In the show he is one dimensional.

We were forced to hear him go on and on about wanting to have sex with the queen. We had to watch him jump onto Yara's boat in season seven and hear him say the laughable line "give your uncle a kiss."

It would be okay if the Night King wasn't the main villain if Euron wasn't playing such a big part in the final two episodes of the series. It truly makes it much harder to stomach that the White Walkers were never really a threat at all and this fuck stick took out a dragon in two seconds.

Why is it so easy for him to shoot a dragon? Why was it then so hard for him to shoot a dragon when it was literally flying in a straight fucking line toward his stupid ass shooting spear? How did Dany not see Euron's fleet when she's on a dragon on a CRYSTAL CLEAR DAY over the ocean? Why are the writers forcing me to watch this steam punk douchebag at the end of one of the greatest series of all time?

Let's look at the other villians in this series.

Remember Ramsey Bolton? He was vile. He was so horrible you just couldn't look away. He was far from one dimensional. He was a bastard who wanted to be taken seriously by his father and the great houses of Westeros.

How about Jaimie Lannister? He wasn't evil for evil's sake. He did things he thought he had to do in order to protect his family. In the end we started to see that he was deeper then we all thought. George RR Martin took a character who literally pushed a child out a window and made him likable.

How about Tywin Lannister? He is probably the best written villain in the show. Maybe one of the best in TV history. He had goals and motives that were real. He never took any action unless it benefitted his family in the long run. He was the master manipulator and the head of a great house.

Now compare all of them to Euron Greyjoy. His fleet can sail at the speed of light and literally just run over anyone in his way. His dialogue consists of cheeky one liners and laughing like the joker. He's about as deep as a puddle and now we are going to be forced to watch him until the end of the series.

I'm steaming angry.
