Is Paul McCartney okay?

Updated: Nov 14, 2018

Disclaimer: Before you read this article I want you to know that I'm a huge Beatles fan and always will be. I saw Paul McCartney play live three times between 2005 and 2009 and he was good every time.

Has anyone heard Paul McCartney's new song, Fuh You? If you haven't I highly recommend it. It's actually incredible. It's incredible to hear a 76 year old man who once wrote the song Maybe I'm Amazed belt out multiple times on a song "I just wanna fuh you." In case you're wondering he's talking about sex.

A couple of quick thoughts on this song. First of all...gross. Second of all...why? I mean the instrumentation on the song is fine. It's pretty catchy and Paul's voice is still pretty good for 76. But what in God's name was he thinking with these lyrics? Does he really think we want to picture his old wrinkly body getting down and dirty?

You make me wanna go out and steal

I just wanna fuh you

What could these two lines together possibly mean? Is he so sexually frustrated that he wants to go out and steal something to get an adrenaline rush? Again...gross. I mean for the love of God Paul you wrote Get Back, Hey Jude, and Live and Let Die. You were in the most important musical group in the history of modern music and now you're writing a song that sounds like it was written by a thirteen year old going through puberty.

Also, what the hell is fuh? I mean I understand what he is really saying, but why fuh? Just say fuck. It's already disgusting to think about. Why stop halfway? Just go for it, man.

As if that wasn't bad enough, an interview came out recently with Paul where he revealed some weird x rated things him and John Lennon used to do together when they would hang out. He even said that instead of getting drunk together they used to each individually do something in the dark that is normally down in privacy alone. I think you know what I'm talking about.

So I ask again. Is Paul McCartney okay? Perhaps the real Paul did die in 1969 and that wasn't really him on the cover of Abbey Road walking barefoot across the street. That just seems more plausible than the guy who cowrote the song A Day in The Life also writing a song called Fuh You in his elder years. It's truly mind boggling.
