Wayne who? The Great One? Nah, move over there's a new Great One in town and his name is Jake DeBrusk.
Last night Jake DeBrusk single handedly crushed the hopes and dreams of an entire fan base when he crashed the net, giving the Bruins the go ahead goal. It was his fifth goal of the series and by far the most important goal of his life.
I'm not one to make gross exaggerations but I really believe that we can sit here today and say that DeBrusk is already going to be better than Wayne Gretzky. Sure Gretzky holds pretty much every major record in the NHL and DeBrusk has only played one full season, but what DeBrusk lacks in experience he makes up for in game winning goals. Let's see Gretzky crash the net like that!
Gretzky once scored 92 goals in a season. I'm sure DeBrusk will beat that record with ease in a few years once he really enters his prime. Watch out NHL, there's a new king in town.
